Our race weekend at Le Castellet
We headed to the Le Castellet circuit for a new stage of our season with the Nova NP02. The weekend got off to the best possible start, with a simulator session at Actua in Lyon to help our drivers get fully into the rhythm before hitting the track. Once on site, the car proved immediately competitive and our drivers just as quick, allowing us to set the best times across all practice sessions.
Qualifying: Romain takes pole on the final lap
The positive momentum from practice carried straight through into qualifying. Romain delivered an outstanding performance, taking pole position on the very last lap of the session — a well-deserved reward for the whole team’s hard work throughout the weekend.
Race: an off-track incident that doesn’t reflect our performance
Unfortunately, the race didn’t go as planned and in no way reflects the work put in or the performance of our drivers this weekend. Right at the first corner, a very bold overtaking move from another competitor forced us off the track. The contact that followed left us unable to continue, bringing our race to a premature end.
Key takeaway
This weekend will above all be remembered as one of bad luck, which denied us a result that matched our performance. The pace on track and the car’s level were there throughout the weekend, and that positive momentum is what we take away from it above all. We’re now looking forward to Portimão with real excitement, with the ambition of turning this performance into a result.
