Round 3 of the Ligier JS CUP France
After two opening rounds full of valuable lessons, we head into the third event of the Ligier JS Cup France at one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar: Spa-Francorchamps.
We arrive motivated and determined to continue our progression. Each race weekend allows us to gain more experience, better understand the car, and keep taking another step forward in such a competitive category.
This round promises to be particularly challenging with the Belcar championship sharing the track with us. Traffic will play a major role throughout the race and will represent an additional challenge that we will need to manage intelligently.
Practice and Qualifying : A challenging session with a lot of traffic
The practice sessions went very well. The car performed perfectly throughout all the sessions, allowing the drivers to gradually find their rhythm and get comfortable on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
The main challenge of the weekend quickly became clear: traffic. With the Belcar championship cars sharing the track with us, it was particularly difficult to find a clear lap and fully exploit our potential.
Despite these conditions, qualifying went very well. We managed to secure a strong 3rd place on the grid. Once again, traffic made it difficult to complete several consecutive fast laps without being affected, making this result even more satisfying and putting us in a strong position heading into the race.
The Race: Strong pace despite the impact of Full Course Yellow periods
The race got off to a strong start, and the pace was there from the beginning. Unfortunately, the numerous Full Course Yellow procedures did not play in our favour and had a significant impact on the flow of the race as well as our strategy.
Despite these challenges, the drivers fought relentlessly for the full four hours, giving their maximum effort all the way to the chequered flag. After an intense and highly competitive race, we finished in 8th place.
Key takeaways from the weekend: :
This third round of the Ligier JS Cup France once again allowed us to make progress and gain valuable experience. The car showed great potential throughout the weekend, with a strong qualifying performance that secured us 3rd place on the grid.
Managing traffic, especially with the Belcar cars sharing the track, was a real challenge both in practice and during the race. The numerous Full Course Yellow interruptions also made the race difficult to manage, but the team and drivers remained focused and fully committed throughout the four-hour event.
Beyond the final result, this weekend confirms our progress and our ability to fight at the front. We continue to learn, gain experience, and build a strong foundation for the upcoming rounds.
